Graveside Chat: Benjamin Franklin Bache & Freedom of the Press
June 9 @ 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until June 9, 2021
This week, meet Franklin's grandson Benjamin Franklin Bache who not only inherited Ben's fiery spirit but also his printing equipment, which he used to publish the Aurora newspaper, which got him in trouble with the government.
We are proudly presenting a new series of graveside chats about lesser or unknown Revolutionary figures and topics. Each chat begins at a bench in the burial ground and will conclude with a tour of related gravesites led by a guide. Some may include an interpreter or costumed character. These 25 minute chats run every Wednesday at noon and are included with admission.
