Five select stops feature a curated sampling of local craft beers paired directly with the historical figures and stories told at their gravesides.

SUMMARY:Outreach Opportunity in October
DESCRIPTION:Christ Church Outreach serves monthly at the Old First Reformed facility\, 4th & Race Sts. for their Saturday Breakfast Cupboard. Join us October 3. There are various ways to help:\n\nAssist at 7am with preparation of “in person” breakfasts serving 60\nAt 8 am\, work with other volunteers to set up the clothing & toiletry cupboard\, as well as plate and serve the breakfast.\nCooks finish first\, but everything should wind down by 10:30am.\n\nAlso\, on Sunday October 4\, we will be preparing a seated dinner for unhoused and food insecure guests at Old First Reformed Church. We’ll start preparing dinner about 3pm and will serve at 5pm and join the guests for the meal.  If you want to participate\, please contact Cheryl Dobleske Beirne.\n

DESCRIPTION:Step into the historic Christ Church Burial Ground for an evening tour exploring the intersection of colonial brewing\, tavern culture\, and early American history. \nThis guide-led tour highlights the final resting places of Revolutionary-era leaders\, signers of the Declaration of Independence\, and notable Philadelphians—from Benjamin Franklin to a famous tavern keeper. Along the way\, you will learn how 18th-century drink culture fueled political debate\, social life\, and daily routines in the early Republic. Five select stops feature a curated sampling of local craft beers paired directly with the historical figures and stories told at their gravesides.
