Just in time for tourist season, repairs to Benjamin Franklin’s grave have been completed at Christ Church burial ground in Old City. There will be an unveiling Tuesday evening.

For the past few weeks the opening in the brick wall surrounding Christ Church Burial Ground has been closed off with tarp. The main attraction sitting behind it—Benjamin Franklin’s grave—is currently undergoing careful restoration to rescue Franklin’s tombstone from a heavily damaged state.

Inspired by one of the most famous of Quaker paintings, a new play is being staged in Philadelphia. “Peaceable Kingdom” plays at Christ Church Neighborhood House, in Old City, until the end of May.
