What if Sergei Prokofiev's beloved composition Peter and the Wolf -- the musical symphony for children -- contained fake news?
On Saturday, October 26, the Bearded Ladies Cabaret's John Jarboe and the Revolution Wind Quintet reimagine the symphonic fairy tale as Peter and the Duck.
Two Shows!
Kids/Family-friendly show at 2 p.m.
Dive into the classic children's story "Peter and the Wolf" with Bearded Ladies' drag artist John Jarboe and the Revolution Wind Quintet. Complete with animal drag, snacks, and singing, "Peter and the Duck" brings the classic to a new generation of families.
Adult (fundraiser) show at 8 p.m
John Jarboe and the Revolution Wind Quintet explore Prokofiev's dark story by removing the quacking duck from the classic story's center. Join them for a "happy hour" musical meditation on generational angst, propaganda, Soviet influence and the dangers of story time. Cake and cocktails served!
