Did you know that Christ Church was America’s tallest building
for over five decades?
To this day the Christ Church steeple is an eye-catching landmark in Philadelphia’s Old City neighborhood. This unique tour offers an elevated look at the steeple, a panoramic view of Old City Philadelphia from the top of the Christ Church Neighborhood House, and a special opportunity to enter a portion of the historic Christ Church tower. The cost includes a self-guided tour of the Christ Church sanctuary. Starts June 1st.
Walk up 110 stairs to the top of Christ Church Neighborhood House, directly west of the Church, for the best exterior views of the steeple and Old City Philadelphia!
When: Tours are available 7 days a week between 10:30am and 4:00pm (weather permitting). Advanced registration is REQUIRED. Please contact Director of Education & Preservation Matthew Havens for tour inquires.
Length: Tours run 20 minutes.
Tickets: Tours are $10/adult and $5/children 12 and under.
Group Size: 1 – 15 people.
Content: Historical topics discussed include architecture, ornamentation, and preservation.

- Prepare for a five-story stair climb, with no air-conditioning or heating
- This tour is not people with a fear of heights or those with limited mobility
