Our 2027 Stewardship Campaign

In 1727, members of Christ Church laid the cornerstone for a bold vision: a church that would serve a growing community for generations to come. Many years later, we are still creating Christ Church. We create it through worship and welcome. Through music, teaching, service, fellowship, and care. Through the ministries we join, the gifts we share, the things we make, and the financial commitments that sustain our life together.

That is why our 2027 stewardship theme is Creating Christ Church. Stewardship is the way each of us contributes our time, talent, and treasure to the Christ Church community.

Join Us for the Creating Christ Church Ingathering

Sunday, October 25, 2026

Our stewardship season comes together on Sunday, October 25, with a joyful Ingathering celebration at Christ Church Philadelphia. This year, we’re adding something new: a Creation Fair in the Great Hall.

The day will include:

• our annual stewardship Ingathering
• a blessing of children’s costumes
• pumpkin painting
• the Creating Christ Church Creation Fair
• opportunities to celebrate the many gifts within our congregation

Everyone is welcome to attend. You do not need to register to come to the Creation Fair or participate in the day’s activities.

What Is the Creating Christ Church Creation Fair?

We talk often about contributing our time, talent, and treasure, but time and talent can be difficult to see or measure. The Creation Fair gives us a chance to make those gifts visible. Members and friends of Christ Church are invited to share something they have created, either through the church or in another part of their lives. And we mean created in the broadest possible sense.

Maybe you:

• paint, draw, photograph, knit, sew, or make things by hand
• write poetry, stories, articles, or books
• compose or perform music
• cook or bake something people love
• garden or grow things
• build, repair, restore, or design
• organize people around a cause
• create programs, ministries, or community projects
• make signs or art in support of issues that matter to you
• transformed a room, a home, or an outdoor space
• helped create something meaningful with other people

Your creation does not have to be something you can place on a table. If you created something that cannot be brought with you, bring a photograph, display, story, or another way of sharing it. The point is not to judge whose creation is best. The point is to discover more about one another. When we see what the people around us create, we begin to see more clearly the gifts already present within our community.

Would you like to participate in the Creation Fair? We would love to have you. Members and friends are invited to share something they have made, built, written, grown, organized, designed, performed, or helped bring into being.

ALL are welcome, without registration, if you would like to attend the fair. Come explore, ask questions, meet people, and discover some of the remarkable gifts within the Christ Church community.

What Does Creation Have to Do With Stewardship?

Everything. Stewardship asks a simple question: What have I been given, and how will I use it?

Make Your 2027 Pledge

A pledge is an intention to support Christ Church financially during the coming year. Pledges help the church plan responsibly for worship, Christian formation, pastoral care, community life, staff, outreach, and the care of our historic campus. Whether this is your first pledge or you have supported Christ Church for many years, your participation matters.

A pledge can be adjusted if your circumstances change. What matters most is prayerfully choosing how you want to participate in creating the next chapter of Christ Church.
